It is not that ideal to have your baby taken care of by grandparents

London University has recently released research findings on Baby Care study. The university researchers have interviewed totally 4800 working mothers, and were divided into two groups based on who will take care of their newborn baby.

The first group of them is having their babies taken care of by their own grandparents, while the second group mothers are sending their babies to baby centers, pre-school centers or designated nannies.

All interviewee mothers have been interviewed when their babies are 9 months old, and keep on the raising habits for their babies. Until the babies are 3 years old, the research teams again interviewed the mothers of their baby’s behaviors, learning and communication skills, and then analyzed the findings.

The findings have it that, at the year of three, when talking about baby’s ability to differentiate and compare colors, alphabets, numbers, sizes and shapes, the second group babies always out-win the first group who are taken cared by their grandparents.

For vocabulary, words and phrases, the first group babies are able to develop better language skills. However, they are less ready to accept official education and environment.

Particularly, for the first group baby boy, they are more likely to develop behavior and communication problems, usually more difficult for them to get along with their peel groups.

Researchers analyzed that due to the old age of the grandparents, they are more opt to talk to their grand son or daughter instead of any physical playing activities, it is the reason why the first group babies are more talkative and have better verbal or language skills. But, they are less capable of communicating and getting along with same peel groups.

However, the research concluded that with professional pre-school training and baby care instructors, second group babies have better cognitive ability and high sense of perception to handle the latter challenges in the future.
